I Help People Stop Pretending That Everything Is Fine

Omar Pinto, a coach, speaker, facilitator, and creator of The Twelve Men

I help people tell the truth about what they want, what isn’t working, and the patterns that keep showing up in their relationships, work, and lives. Often, the people I work with have built lives that look successful from the outside. Inside, something feels disconnected.

I know that territory personally.

My Work Is Personal

I’m Omar Pinto, a life coach, storyteller, and facilitator. My work began in addiction recovery and grew to include NLP, emotional healing, relationships, and personal transformation. I came to it through my own experience with recovery, family, entrepreneurship, anger, fear, and the humbling discovery that I can be the person standing in my own way.

I’m a husband, father, and friend living in Costa Rica with my wife, Marcela. I’m still doing this work in my own life: noticing blind spots, having difficult conversations, making repairs, and learning when to surrender what I cannot control. I don’t coach from a mountaintop.

The pattern beneath the problem

Over more than two decades of working with people, I’ve seen how easily a survival strategy can become an identity. Control might have helped you feel safe. Achievement might have helped you feel worthy. Keeping everyone happy might have helped you feel loved. Those strategies may have served you well for years, until they started costing you the life and relationships you actually want.

I help people understand those patterns without shaming themselves for having them, then take responsibility for what happens next.

This work led me to develop The Twelve Men Living Inside Every Man, a framework for recognizing the different parts of ourselves that shape our choices. Every man contains all twelve. The question is which part takes over under pressure, which parts have been pushed aside, and who is leading his life now.

Compassion and accountability

My approach is direct and compassionate. I’ll help you understand why a pattern began, but I won’t help you use that history as a reason to stay stuck. Recovery taught me the value of honesty, community, humility, service, and surrender. Those principles still ground everything I do.

Today, I work with individuals and couples, facilitate retreats and transformational experiences, and serve as a Lead Facilitator with Ahdama.

I believe change becomes real when what you discover about yourself shows up in how you live: in your marriage, your family, your leadership, and the promises you make to yourself.

You don’t have to become someone else. You can begin by telling the truth about who’s been running your life.
